a winter mantle.

These snowball and snowflake garlands came in handy this year when I was putting together my winter mantle.  Remember how lucky I was last year when I was planning Andy's snow bear party and found them on clearance?  Those clearance moments are so joyful.

That pretty piece of driftwood is from the sandy banks of the Virgin River in Zion Canyon.  I just love that place.  And those red berries are from my Christmas decorations.  I feel like keeping a little red in the mix, with Valentines Day coming along shortly.

Today my sisters and mom came to help me organize our storage room, and unpack some more boxes.  We have decided that once a month we will go to one of our houses and help each other out with a big project.  And, hallelujah! they started with me!

While we unpacked and organized, little Emmett wandered around nibbling on nerf rockets and drinking vials of soapy water filled with soaking raisins (apparently Cam is experimenting to see if he can turn raisins into grapes--so sorry Elle!)  All the little girls and Ty ate a bazillion packets of annies graham bunnies.  I just bought a big box at Costco yesterday, and today it is gone.  But no matter, I have a wonderfully organized storage room.  Totally worth it.
