on tap this week.

our bathroom tile work is all finished!  hurrah!  i can't show you an actual picture of the bathroom yet since 1. there are no lights in there yet and 2. all that pretty tile is covered and taped off for painting. . . but how about a picture of our leftover tiles?! now if that's not exciting, i don't know what is.

i chose that minty green color of penny tile because some of our door frames are a little chipped and that's the color underneath.  also the backside of the basement doors were this color.  so i'm thinking it most likely is a color original to the home.  i love it, and thought it was a perfect nod to the original roots of the home.

on tap this week for the house renovation:

still working on paint colors. . .
must finalize paint color for cam's room & bathroom

also still trying to figure out the wood paneling for one of cam's walls.

the bid for the cool weathered wood paneling look i was going for came back too high for my budget.  need to figure out how to get the same look for half the cost!

painting should be completely finished this week

(must get those last two colors figured out pronto.)

order flooring 

(decided on a sort of whitewashed wood laminate for family room & hallway--in the 2nd picture, it's the sample furthest to the left, carpet for stairs & bedrooms)

choose counter surface for bathroom vanity

continue construction on cabinets + desk for the office/laundry

finalize design for cabinetry to be built in family room
