a madeline invitation.

well, it has been a few months since the event, but we really did celebrate ava carmel's birthday!  she wasn't into my dollhouse birthday idea, but the madeline party idea was a hit. . . especially when we thought of the idea of painting her invitations, so they looked just like little artistic postcards straight from Paris. . .

for the invitation i drew the "old house in Paris covered in vines" with a black sharpie, and then made several copies for ava to paint.  on the other side of the house, were all the details for the party.  after the paint dried, we slipped them into a bright blue envelope with a pretty little handwritten sticker placed on the front.

and then the countdown began!
