happy october.

well my friends, i found a pumpkin stand.  and i brought a few home. 

i am so happy that autumn is really here!  (i define autumn's official arrival by the coolness of the evening air.  here in salt lake, it is always warm in the evenings all through the summer, and then there is this magical night when suddenly it is cool. . .  cool nights have arrived!)  

fall is by far my favorite season.  i think it must be because of all the anticipation of things to come:

  apple cider, homemade pumpkin bread, raking (and jumping in) huge piles of leaves, planning out halloween costumes, finally appropriate weather for sweaters & boots, weekend drives through the gorgeous canyons and of course, let's not forget, lots of excuses for making all kinds of crafty things!
