summer babies.

These two kiddos are my summer babies.  Ava Carmel's due date was on Cam's birthday.  As it turned out, she arrived two days early, and we came home from the hospital on Cam's birthday.

I  have the best memory from when we arrived home that afternoon.  The kids and grandma and grandpa were relaxing (as much relaxation as you can get with a 7, 5 and 2 year old) in the pool in the backyard.  When I whispered to Cam that his new little baby sister was inside the house, he couldn't get out fast enough.  He kept saying, "This is the best birthday I've ever had!"  He has always been such a great big brother to her and Andy.

So we are planning two festive celebrations this week to celebrate my favorite 5 year old and 10 year old in the whole wide world!  Wow, how time flies.  Ava Carmel's party will be a Tangled/Lanterns festivity and Cam's will be a Backyard "Campout".  

Today is shopping day for Ava's party.  Things on our list: lots of yellow yarn, a very fancy ruffly skirt, long strands of yellow licroice (I think I've seen this around), lanterns and more lanterns, and some ballet shoes.  I love birthday parties!
