flower girl dresses.
We really lucked out with our vacation to the Oregon Coast this year for Jimmy's sister's wedding. Just look at that sun shining! Holy mackerel, that never happens for us.
And I so loved the flower girl dresses we had made for Ashlyn and Ava Carmel. Sweet and simple. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera to capture any of those sweet moments as they were sprinkling their flower petals all around.
As we were heading out the door of the beach house to go to the wedding, Jimmy said: okay you've got everything right? We don't have a key to get back in.
Dresses, check. Black ribbons, check. Baskets, check. Safety pins, check. Curling iron, check. On and on, I did my mental checklist.
Note to self: Don't make mental checklists for big events. Make real ones.
Okay Jimmy I've got everything! You can shut it.
And then that dreadful moment right as the door latches shut, I realize freak. i don't have my camera.
Oh seriously. Of all the moments to not have my camera. I briefly contemplated how much we would get charged for breaking a window to get back into the beach house, but that was just one of those panicky, logic-less thoughts that you get in desperate situations. You get those too right?
So alas, I have no pictures of the wedding. It was beautiful though, sweet and simple. As we were driving back to the beach house after the festivities, I made the kids promise to go straight down to the beach without changing, so I could snap a few pictures. They grudgingly obliged (they wanted their swimsuits on pronto), so I had to make it super quick and Andy escaped before I got any of him. He is fast. And sneaky.
Dresses were made by boutique mia.
