pretty colors.
This morning the city approved our variance (we had to have our neighbors sign a form that approved adding a second story to our "new" house.) The first hurdle is crossed!
The next will be to see which changes the city requires us to make to the plans we submitted. Hopefully not many. We think we've complied with every little requirement, but we'll see how we did in probably about 4-6 weeks (the timeline they said it would take before they could get back to us with "first changes.") It's a tedious process, but we knew what we were in for!
Tonight I was going to post pictures from our trip to Oregon, but blogger is slower than molasses in uploading my photos. So in the meantime we are watching Swamp People (holy huge alligators) and dreaming on colors for the house. Since it is basically a rebuild, it will be super easy to implement a color scheme that flows throughout the entire home. It's just deciding on precisely which color scheme, that will be hard. I love so many!
Here's two I'm thinking on...
First color inspiration: coral + charcoal gray + yellow + peacock blue.
Second color inspiration: gray + yellow + robins egg blue.
