lots of lanterns.

Today I'm getting inspired for Ava Carmel's summer birthday.   As with most 4 year old girls, she is completely enamored with Tangled.  So I thought it would be fun to have tons of lanterns all over the backyard.

I even found some sky lanterns that you light and send into the air, just like on the movie!  But I might be too scared to actually use them--maybe if we lived right next to a lake instead of a neighborhood filled with towering trees I would...  Wouldn't they be so gorgeous all lit up and floating at the end of a wedding party on the coast?
   
Anyway, I found this first image on a great blog called pink wallpaper.  It looks like it's from a book, but I can't find which one.  I wish I knew, because it looks like one I would love to have!!  The second image of lanterns covered with tissue circles, is from martha stewart (tutorial here.)
