an unfitted bathroom.
Well folks. I have exciting news...
We turned our plans into the city on Wednesday! We were feeling really excited because someone told us it would only take 7-10 days to get them through. 7-10 days! 7-10 days! Lots of happy dancing ensued.
Unfortunately, that person didn't know what they were talking about.
And so instead it will be 4-6 weeks before they get back to us with first changes. Still. Just happy to get the ball rolling.
So I mentioned before how the two most difficult things for us to figure out were: 1. the new staircase location and 2. the master bath layout.
For the masterbath, I really want an authentic feel. The look of an unfitted bathroom and kitchen really, really appeal to me. They just feel so much more authentic for the time period of the home. . . A bathroom that can have a small upholstered chair and table, towel hooks and not bars. Exposed pipes and legs, rather than bulky cupboards.
The problem is... reality. Where do you store all your toothbrushes and bottles of biosilk?! It is such a pretty look, but is it practical? Also, Jimmy is not as big of a fan of the unfitted look. But I am hoping to entice him with these pretty pictures, and hopeful that we can come up with a good compromise combining the unfitted sink with some pretty furniture storage pieces... Still thinking on this.
