festive pinwheels.

I have been admiring these festive pinwheels from rebecca thuss for quite some time now.  (Wouldn't they be cute hanging behind a little bed or crib too?)

They bring back memories of making "fans" from the sunday bulletins, during church with my sisters.  And speaking of sisters, I wish I could be throwing a little baby shower for little baby Nixon (who is my newest nephew) with some festive party decorations.
 

These kind of pictures inspire to start entertaining more.  I'm pretty good at planning big shin digs for the kids, but I fizzle out when it comes to parties for the grown-ups.  Maybe I really will throw a New Years Eve party this year. . . .
