a fabulous little family room.
I've been trying to wrap up a few design projects before we move, and then I'm taking a little break while we get settled into our new home and celebrate the holidays. I'll begin taking on new projects in early 2011, so if you're interested in details or getting on a wait list, email me at bohemiadesign@gmail.com. One of these days I really am going to get all that info up on my design blog.
Anyway, this particular design board was for my cousin Chad and his beautiful wife Megan, and their two adorable children. They just moved to a brand new home in Washington and really were ready to have a home that looked stylish, cohesive and reflective of their personalities.
They are a seriously cute couple and always have these creative date nights and birthday surprises and anniversary getaways planned for each other, so when I saw this picture of the lovebirds at urban outfitters, that was my jumping off point. Plus the birds were in the colors they loved, and the artist was from Mexico City, where Chad had lived for two years serving an LDS mission.
I got the best emails from both of them, after I sent everything over, that seriously warmed my heart--I read them about twenty times that day. And they have already started implementing the design, so if they send pictures I'll make sure to share.

In other news: I passed out at church yesterday (super embarrassing) from the most awful pain I have ever experienced in my life. I thought they were really really horrible gas pains (even more embarrassing) and I was totally mortified (as much as a semi conscious person can be) to be heading to the hospital in an ambulance over gas pains. Oh the embarrassment. But it was at that sad sad point were pain equals willingness to forgo all pride. Have you been there? I was (somewhat) relieved (for vanities sake) that it was actually a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst bursting.
And now I am in a more subdued pain lying around, hoping my body will never ever ever do that to me again, and will reabsorb all that blood pronto, so I can feel good and get packing (all my moving boxes, that is.) Wow this post is not for the faint of heart, is it? I hope you all don't get queasy from the word blood. or ovaries for that matter.
