red nose, ruffled knee socks and selling house.

Today I had a little dry spot frozen off my nose, and now I look like Rudolph.

After that painful little moment at the doctors office, I mosy-ied around Target with my bright red nose and with my big girl Ava Carmel for a couple of hours, and filled up our cart with all sorts of cute things.  Things like skull rain boots for the boys, pretty scarves for me, little sweater dresses and knee socks for Ava.

I have been wanting to add little ruffles to some knee socks forever, like these ones pictured above.  Now I finally have some knee socks to do it with.  (These would be for Ava, in case you thought I was going to making ruffled knee socks for myself.) Actually that might be cute...

Would it?  Sometimes I just don't know where to draw the line.  This adorable picture and a correlating tutorial can be found at calico.

Then Jimmy called and said the people who came through our house Thursday night wanted to come through again before making an offer.  So I tried to quickly contemplate (this is remarkably difficult for an indecisive person like me) what we really needed/wanted, and put the rest away.  (Kept the socks.)

Then we scurried on home to finish the laundry and tidy up our pretty home.

While driving home, Jimmy called again and said someone else wanted to come see the house tonight too.

Then while we were hanging out in the park during the appointments, someone else called and said they would like to fly into town to see the home.

I feel like clapping and crying at the same time and it is making me feel like my heart is stuck in my throat.  I have loved our home.  We began designing it when I was barely pregnant with Andy.  Cam was two with his sweet white-blonde curls and Ashlyn had just had her princess party for her 4th birthday.

When I think back of my happy life with my sweet little babes, this is where I will remember being.  It is so hard to think of moving on.

However, there is a part of my that is very excited to design another home and watch it be built.  And I think this time I will enjoy the process much more, since I won't be on bedrest!

So to recap: I will be sewing some ruffled knee socks with my red nose in the home we are selling.  For reals this time.  (On all of it.)
