a happy find.

My love for thrift shops began on a little road trip during college when I found an amazing leather belt for $4.00 at a Salvation Army in Moreno Valley, California.  I had it for years.

I just love finding that forgotten, unrecognized treasure.  And I would visit thrift shops more often but I get a serious case of the itchies everytime I go.  Yes, that's right.  The itchies.  Like I'm ready to break out in hives kind of itching.  It's making my face and head and back and eyelids itch right now just thinking about it...

But some days it is just so worth it.  Especially when you find things like this nice little stack of cloth covered books.  I was so excited because not only are they so pretty to look at (on the outside and the inside)--but I also want to read each one of them.
