a few eastery decorations.

These funny little rabbits made me smile the moment I spotted them.  Probably because I am the kind of girl who likes to pretend that all bunnies dress in overalls and aprons and have little bunny children named Flopsy, Mopsy and Peter and live in cozily decorated holes underneath big tree trunks.

We discussed these particular bunnies over dinner the other night, and decided they are indeed little replicas of Peter Rabbit's mom and dad.  Andy said he really liked the pictures in that Peter Rabbit book.  But DID NOT like the words.  I suspect it is because he can relate all too well to that mischievous little rabbit...


Little bowls of lemonheads round about for all of our sweet tooths.  I'm trying to teach myself self control, by placing temptation right in front of my face.  Now that sounds like a plan that's bound to be successful...  

Our four ever so slightly different little chicks (one for each child) make an appearance every year.  And every year there are lengthy discussions amongst themselves as to which one belongs to who. (whom?)  Anyhow, I always find this discussion quite entertaining.  Next year I need to remember to record it.

And here is Ava--with such a pleasant expression on her face--who is not at all pleased that I am taking pictures of easter decorations, instead of helping her find the markers.
