a little table. with a side of rambling.
Apparently that was very liberating to my psyche, because suddenly tonight I have a bazillion different things I feel like writing about and taking pictures of and being inspired by. (I suspect that I may be one of those people that reverse psychology works really well on.)
So now that I'm "back" after that very extended absence, I thought it was about time to give myself a little progress report on that, daily-hour-for-unfinished-projects, thing I'm trying out.
I have: repainted ava's little nightstand. chosen fabric to recover chair in ava's room. retrofitted a clothespin frame for her room. altered the queen quilt to fit a twin. piper and chloe vendors almost all in place. personal progress interviews for young women almost all complete. interviewed grandpa twice for his life story. helped leslie decide on wallpaper for her family room project (i'll show you--it is super swank.) set up account with guildmaster. got new rug for family room. listed and sold old area rug. decided on stool + ottomans for my family room. planted wheat grass for easter/spring decorations. cut out some paper bird garlands for showcase.
I think it's working out all right. I'm still not one hundred percent into it. Thinking perhaps I might really just have too many projects, which is not really the answer I wanted.
This little table was the first piece of furniture Jimmy and I bought together. We were engaged and thought it was sooo fabulous. That memory makes me laugh and smile! We don't think it's quite as fabulous as we did back then, but it's got nostalgia now! So we painted it aqua for Ava's room and replaced the knob with a princess bird. The little black shoes were mine. Probably when reverse psychology worked even better on me. If that could be.
