Early in December, I had sudden inspiration for the perfect gift for my friends. I envisioned a big yummy loaf of homemade pumpkin chocolate chip bread (still warm from the oven mind you), along with a couple handmade potholders--all delivered well ahead of the Christmas rush. Ahhh... Big dreams are delightful. But starting on this project Christmas Eve morning (I know.) put a little damper on my plans, and even though these are really simple and straightforward, they took me a little longer than I anticipated. Oh well. Maybe next year? But I really liked making them and definitely want to make a few more. And maybe, just maybe they will inspire some delicious new winter menus around here... Again with the big dreams.
