this makes me happy

Here's some snaps from a little photo shoot I did with Aves in the grosgrain fashion. Her little tunic dress is not really a dress--it started as a pattern I was trying to create for a dress I want to make with some fabrics I picked up last week. But then I remembered these fabric circles I had seen on a pillow at Pier 1 a few months ago and thought I might try it out on the pattern dress. And since I had spent time sewing those on I thought I'd just add some ribbon on the top to tie it around Ava's neck. It made me realize (again) how much I love designing things of all sorts and I really wish I knew more about sewing. I have so many ideas bouncing around my brain and I wish I could recreate them. So until I can, I'll just keep practicing on my girls :)
