it's a crisp fall evening

It was cool on our Sunday afternoon walk today--like where the tip of your nose is cold. I love it. LOVE it. It reminds me of falling in love and kissing and going for walks around campus. Plus we went to a football game Friday night. I love night games. Perfect for wearing a cozy fall sweater. So, In celebration of the first-day-it's-really-felt-like-fall, I thought I'd share some of my halloween finds. Now I am really in the mood to put my fall things out--before it sort of felt like faking, like I was trying too hard. So, here are a few things I might try this year:
Those witch hats on the photographs are perfect! I think I'll put some paper witch hats on the people in the photographs around our house. This book is adorable, but that's a project for another season of my life.

Witches broomstick treat bags are just right for handing out to your favorite neighborhood trick-or-treaters. Not the grabby annoying ones. They get a tootsie roll. One.

During October, I would really like this spooky tape tree in my entry. My only fear is that Cam and Andy would peel pieces of to use for their "tape cities," "tape forts," and all their other taping "needs". I think if the only present I gave them for Christmas was a box full of rolls of duct tape and painters tape, they would be in heaven. Hmmmm. That's actually not a bad idea.
