bake sale anyone

Now this is a bake sale I would love to attend! Obviously. Since me and bake goods equal true love forever. And I think my dream job would be as a stylist for photos like this. The letters hanging from the ruler--perfect. The stacks of books with cupcake on top--adorable. . . and yummy. I want to learn how to make that marzipan stuff (is that what it's called?) It's like play doh for grown ups, and I think it's flavored with almond extract (there's a vague memory somewhere) which is my very, very favorite. And my fave colors of the moment: turquoise and red.

I think we will have a little display vignette set up like this at our piper & chloe holiday showcase. I can think of three vendors it would work perfectly for: the pretend-play cupcakes made out of felt, our real life gourmet carmel apples and pretzel sticks, and the hanging letters (only ours will not be edible. disappointing for me. good for you--as there will be something left for you to see when the showcase opens).
