in my home: autumn

The wreath on our front door I made when ashlyn was a little baby and I still love it. If you know me, you know that is quite a feat. But I did make it with my Shannon so those are happy memories. That was a couple days before our fairy wing making catastrophe. Project gone very very wrong! (That was before you could actually buy them). You win some. You lose some. Funny how some things you love forever and some you're tired of the next day. Other autumn decorations I love are red and yellow branches in containers around the house--they usually last for quite awhile--just don't forget the water! I also like to fill bowls and platters with colorful leaves we gather from our drives and walks in the mountains. I give the kids little baskets to collect them in and they LOVE it! ah fall. I love the air, the colors, the smell, the coziness and the anticipation of happy days to come.
