a happy easter.

Well we have had a great spring break, despite the chilly, rainy weather.  In the non-rainy moments, the kids went on lots of bike rides, we spent a few hours at the zoo, got new rain boots for all!, tried to make sock animals (that was a fail!  cam has half a dog--which he has been carrying around for the last two days, andy has a dog head, and the girls each have a pair of new socks.)

Today we colored lots of beautiful easter eggs.  We tried marbelizing them this year and we all LOVED the way they turned out.  We followed these easy instructions (yes, can you believe martha had a project with easy instructions?!)

Tomorrow is Easter Sunday and we will celebrate the resurrection of our Savior.  I love this holiday and this season in general.  New life, new beginnings, lindt chocolate carrots, happy sunny days ahead.  These last several weeks, I have been reading John in the New Testament, and it has made me even more thankful for the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Did Jesus really live again?
Yes, when the third day came.
He wakened and he left the tomb,
He called Mary's name.

And there were nail prints in his hands,
And a spear wound in his side.
Did Jesus really live again?
After he had died?

Oh yes, and so shall I.

The truth of these words makes my soul rejoice!
Andy does his finest work while biting his tongue.  I think he gets it from me.

Ava loves her bunny, but no, she can't sleep with it.

Happy Easter!
