a box of balloons.

This year for Jimmy's birthday, the kids gave him a big box full of balloons.  But not just your ordinary box of balloons, oh no.  On each balloon string a little handwritten memory was attached.  

Andy was really hoping there would be enough balloons to make the box float.

Jimmy is intrigued by what could be in the big box that weighs nothing...

He loved reading each of their sweet memories recorded in their cute handwriting.  After we were done with the balloons, we cut all the memory papers off to keep.  One day (hopefully soon) I will organize all our photos and keepsakes into volumes of scrapbooks!

We finished off the celebration with an ice cream cake from Maggie Moos.  Ava is thinking of a good wish too.  Probably something like "I wish I could eat that whole cake myself."
