Lots of people often say that I'm crazy for planning a birthday party every year for each of the kids.
Here are my thoughts on that: if you love doing it, then do it. If you don't, don't.
We happen to fall into the love-it category so planning parties together is pretty fun for us. This birthday Cam helped think up a design that reminded him of sun (the brown "sun rays") and water (the blue numbers and letters) and then I designed it in adobe illustrator.
Since all the invitations were being hand delivered, we punched out the first initial of each birthday guest and stuck it on the outside of the envelope for a little personalized touch.
Now that the invitations have been delivered, he is counting down the days (and hours) to the big day. (And hoping that "this year he really feels older on his birthday.")
Oh the wishes of youth.
