happy july.

this july i am looking forward to:

homemade strawberry lemonades on the back patio.
laughing with my sisters under the cottonwoods next to the Virgin River.
laying outside on an old quilt and doing a little star gazing.
a few more baseball games.
(oh that is a lie--next spring remind me i don't really like the boys doing all stars.  two months of baseball games is perfect.  four months of games.  nope.)
filling the frame collage in my entryway with pictures from yesteryear.
and of course,
celebrating america's birthday, perhaps with some sparkler cupcakes and lots of stories for the kids about the founding fathers.
There are many lovely, lovely places in the world
But I am very thankful that America is our home.
