the crane building.
This is the building my dad worked in when I was in high school. In the summertime I would go work for him and help his secretary compile all the lists that are involved in tracking radio station stats. And I would sometimes answer the phones, but once I got the transferring of calls a little messed up, and this employee was being really lame about it and I accidentally heard the whole conversation (because I couldn't figure out how to disconnect without being heard) about the bosses airhead daughter working there. And I still am holding a major grudge.
There was also a cute DJ that worked there called Monkey Boy, but I already had a boyfriend. I remember driving down the street and loving that cool CRANE sign on the building. I loved the exposed brick walls inside my dads office. I really think that this building was the beginning of my love for historic architecture, so I was pretty excited to see it as the leading photo for design*sponge's guide to Salt Lake City.
But most of all I loved working with my dad, who everyone (including me) thought was the best boss ever.
