a winter window

One snowy day last year Andy and I had a teach me mommy class about snowflakes. For our craft we made paper snowflakes and clothes pinned them to ribbons hanging above the beds. This year I think we will try displaying our creations this way, except I will just hang them to our existing curtain rods. It looks like in this picture there are even some really big white pom pom snowballs.

And just a note to myself and to any other fruit tree or grape vine owners, I heard on a gardening show this morning that right now is a good time to trim your apple and pear trees and also your grape vines. So pull on those snow boots and mittens and get to it. (I'm talking to myself there.) Because I need a lot of good self pep talks to get out and do chores like that.
