our little porch addition.
In fact, the other day, Andy and I were snuggling on the couch and he looked at me, and said, "Mommy, how can you stand having all that dust on your eyes?!'
No Andy, that is just my cream colored eye shadow. :) The one thing it hasn't settled on is me, since I'm too busy trying to clean it all up every minute of the day! A losing battle I quickly abandoned. . .

1. open back shelves will span a short stretch of wall, exposing the original brick exterior of our home
2. a light gray flagstone floor
3. tongue & groove wood panel ceiling,
coming down the walls partially too. i want to keep a little bit of a
porch-y feeling to the space, as a nod to what it was originally. i
think this paneling helps do that.
4. a built in floor to ceiling cupboard will hide a stack washer and dryer in this room.
This part of our project will be a little, tiny (6' x 11') addition to the main floor, where we will be enclosing an existing porch. This room will become our desperately needed laundry/office. At first I was adamantly opposed to getting rid of this quaint little porch. But after sitting out there several times and realizing the only thing to look at was my neighbors electrical box. . . well, I warmed to the idea.
