one spring morning ashlyn was born. and it was the best day ever!!!

happy birthday to my darling ashlyn!  how i love you!  you are such a beautiful bright spot in our lives.  we have loved watching you grow up and begin to discover who you are.  you are already so full of talents, and so very wise for your age.

being smart, and being wise, are two different things, incidentally.  (although you are both.)  wisdom can be searched for and gained, but there are some people who are just naturally wise, and you have been blessed with that gift. 

i love that you appreciate all of God's beautiful creations; that you love hiking and camping and skiing and doing somersaults down grassy mountains too :)

i love your sense of style.  and can't wait til we can share clothes!

i love going for bike rides with you.  and walks to the neighborhood shops and markets.  and all our talks along the way.

i love that you find joy in serving others, and that you found so much happiness in delivering surprise gifts to your secret sister grandmas.  loving and serving others is the magical key to a happy life.
