afternoon blossoms.

Lately on Friday afternoons, Ashlyn & Cam drop their school bags off and head straight back out to hang out with their friends.  So that leaves Andy, Ava Carmel and I to spend lots of nice lazy Friday afternoons together.  On one particularly lovely afternoon, we just lounged around in the backyard, enjoying all the gorgeous spring blossoms.  Last week, there was a little breeze and all these pretty little petals were blowing all over us.  It was so worth leaving behind my phone and to-do list in the house.

Also last weekend, the kids had their spring recital.  It was such a gorgeous day and they did such a great job that we celebrated with some gelato afterwards. . . and a little more lounging around outside. 

All these pretty flowers have me thinking about May Day.  Don't you like the thought of leaving little bunches of flowers on the doorsteps of your friends and neighbors to celebrate Spring?  Does anyone do that anymore?  I think we should bring it back.
