happy december.

But first i just have to tell you, we had the hugest windstorm last night/this morning.  Do you remember how i get weirdly excited about big storms?  Well there was a gust clocked at 102 mph.  Holy moly.  It was crazy.  I was wishing i could be geraldo out there hanging onto a stop sign for dear life, telling everyone just how fast those wind gusts were blowing!  Oh boy, he is entertaining.

But then I decided I would just rather watch and laugh at geraldo doing that and felt quite thankful to be in my cozy, warm bed.

Driving around, I can't believe these huge trees that look like someone just plucked them out of the ground, roots and all.  Power lines are down everywhere, so our power has been out all day and night.

We used lots of candles this morning, which the kids loved since it made them feel like pioneers!  But tonight it was starting to get pretty chilly, and thank goodness we live ten minutes away from mom and dads, so sleepover tonight.

And in other, almost as exciting news; we began our christmas adventures.
