Wondering how I can get my kids to love doing my chores as much as they love doing "pioneer" chores.

Relaxing under the tall trees while they pretend they are real pioneers--this is so their thing! They spent almost two hours at "Pioneer Pastimes", where they could dress up like pioneers and do pioneer games, chores and school. They honestly could have played here all day.

Loving the way this place has been restored; grassy meadows, little vegetable gardens and wells, groves of tall trees, quaint red brick homes and businesses and the beautiful temple. On the exterior, the Nauvoo Temple has been restored exactly as it was built in the 1840's. The interior has been modified some for modern things, but still has the same feel as a beautiful building from the 1840's--hard wood floors, gorgeous four-story curved staircase, molding and woodwork details, rugs, etc. all historically accurate. It is absolutely breathtaking sitting up on the grassy knoll overlooking the little town and the Mississippi River.
