a little bag for a little ballerina.
Ah domestic bliss. I could putter around in the art room for twenty four hours straight and be so content. My latest puttering is this little bag I made for Ava to carry her ballet and tap shoes to dance class. (You cannot imagine the anticipation that this little girl has had for her first ballet class--unless you too have a dramatic yittle three year old--then you totally know). She just cracks us up with her constant chatter, singing and dancing--her eyes half closed, arms up in the air, twirling into the walls and furniture--Ashlyn gets the honest-to-goodness-can't-stop-giggles-whenever she catches one of these little impromptu performances.

I tried to make it super girly with lots of ruffles and pink. And I was so happy the she loved it (her reaction did not disappoint!); when I showed it to her she hugged it close and said, "cute! it's so cute!" and carried it around all night. And when she wandered sleepily out of her room Wednesday morning, she had on her ballet slippers with her pj's and her little bag slung over her shoulder.
