my tailbone hurts.
Yesterday it snowed and the children were out back playing, looking like little snow bears. So I quickly grabbed my beloved camera and excitedly opened the back door to capture the moment. When suddenly I was laying sprawled on the concrete steps in excruciating pain. I am not being dramatic. I even cried. (But it was partly in fear for my lens cap-less camera and the vigorous snowstorm I was laying in. And maybe I am a tinsey bit dramatic.)I was even wearing my Uggs. Dang. It. Isn't the very central purpose of Uggs to safely transport the wearer through the snow?
So I have injured my tailbone. And scraped my arms. And bruised both elbows. But at least I am now reading Girl of the Limberlost, which is a book I have wanted to read for years. It was my grandma's favorite book and now I know why. It is essentially her life story. It is a beautiful, vintage poetic book of a sixteen year old girl living on the edge of a foresty swamp in the early 1900's. And in honor of this newfound favorite, Ashlyn and I renamed every accessory in my etsy shop, each name inspired by the book.
