february in happy red

February is the month where the winter weather is such old news. (Although I am always partial to a beautiful white snowfall. I just want it to all melt the next day.) But most days if feels like spring will never come. However, there are usually some bright spots in our februarys. We usually go for a little getaway during February and valentines day is always super fun. So here are my little bright spots this february:

1. ava blissfully swinging away in her little red cords and red shoes (that ashlyn wore. stride rite makes shoes that last, i tell ya.) 2. my favorite vintage book find from last year: the three little bears. the illustrations are priceless. plus it reminds me of my grandpa who probably recited this story to me hundreds of times when i was a little girl. 3. polka dot paper. show me a girl anywhere who isn't a sucker for polka dots. 4. a little red rocker that belonged to me and my sisters. now ava rocks her baby dolls in it.

I'm hoping your february has had a few bright spots too. And for now, I'm off to warmer weather, funny girls and beautiful homes to be inspired by. Yay!
