progress report: dining room

I think I have mentioned here (or maybe it was bohemia) that I have been working on my dining room for the last few months. This weekend I crossed one more thing off my list. I'm sure you know it was a very happy moment for me, since I have on many occasions shared my profound love of lists and all things associated with them. The only thing that could make my list loving more complete is: I wish I knew how to make lines through things with my keyboard. I've seen this done before. You know so the list item has a line right through it. Does anyone know how to do this? If so, please leave a comment because WOW that would be awesome to be able to cross things off my computer lists too.In the meantime, I'll just have to continue turning finished items a different color: choose mirror, find sideboard, make up mind about chandelier, reupholster dining chairs
Anyway I was going for a wild free-flowing sort of look with the centerpiece and I am pretty happy with the finished product. Here's how I did it although it's probably pretty self explanatory. Chose container. Filled with foam blocks. (I like to have the foam blocks stick up a little higher than the containers rim). Covered foam with artificial moss. Bought two long vines of berries. Wire snipped them into small pieces and stuck them through the moss into the foam. The moss I bought had wire mesh on its underside. I don't recommend it. It was really hard to push through and now I have sore thumbs.
