and i'm thankful for you.

so i never quite got around to my annual thanksgiving post.  but no matter, i am still feeling thankful.  first and foremost that my darling dad is getting better day by day.  he has been so sick for the last several weeks, and in the hospital for the last five days, but i believe he is on the mend, and i am so very thankful...

this year we put out a container full of colored pencils and a bowl full of paper leaves the kids cut out.  anyone and everyone could write their thankful thoughts on a leaf and hang it on the branches in the vase on the table.  i love reading these sweet little things.  and here are a few of mine. . .

so thankful for: zion canyon. emigration market. madsen bikes. the english countryside. public libraries.  pinterest.  mechanical pencils.  my sisters.  landrovers.  disneyland.  my marm.  my daddy.  old wonderful books from grandma and grandpa's library.  hot water.  anthropologie window displays.  a fireplace.  the temple.  happy children.  transom windows.  the temper trap.  sycamore trees.  crescent moons.  caramel sea salt gelato.  turning point.  paper stores.  chick fil a chicken nuggets.  dishes from anthropologie.  vegetable gardens.  happy memories.  djeco toys.  snow capped mountains.  yellowstone.  my jimmy.  a daughter old enough to babysit.  almond extract.  new york city.  the happiness project.  wireless printers.  my blog.  peonies.    

and tomorrow christmas adventures begin!  i am so excited :)  i just wish it would start snowing already!  if you are curious about what we have in store, i'll be sure to post our "adventures" in the next day or two.
