a happy valentine.

Sending you lots of sweet wishes for your Valentine's Day!  Last night I made these little cupcakes for the kids so that they would wake up to a little yummy surprise.  Why not start the day of with a little sugar?!

This year the kids all were very intent and excited about hand making their valentines day cards.  So we had a very creative weekend :) with the kitchen table alternating between piles of candy and piles of paper and fabric scraps... 

And now this afternoon, they are all sitting down blissfully sorting through all their cards (deciphering possible code messages of secret loves~oh the intrigue of elementary school romance!)

This morning I enticed Ava Carmel into wearing the outfit of my choice, by telling her we could sew a heart onto her skirt.  After I did it, she said "oh mommy!  it's just like i went to the store and got a new skirt!"  Good times ahead~I'm feelin it!
