a flowery little skirt.

I decided to make Ava Carmel a skirt for her birthday this year.  (Since she is so very fond of all her skirts and dresses.  And all other sorts of fancy attire).

I spotted this darling tablecloth at an antique shop a few weeks ago.  It was perfect other than a big rip right smack in the middle.  But I fell in love with the bright red flowers and knew that although it would not make a perfectly lovely tablecloth, it would make a lovely little skirt.

And since it already had a finished hem, I knew this project had remarkably good chances of reaching completion.  I even made a little matching one for her baby doll too.  They both were quite pleased. :)
