these smell so yummy.
Our plan to bask in the sun in the backyard turned into basking under the clouds with a side of sprinkles (rain sprinkles, unfortunately, not cupcake ones.) But once you tell kids that swimming is involved, you know there is no deterring, so we carried on despite the weather. Some of my kid's favorite little friends arrived with fresh roses cut from their yard, in their hands for me. It melted my heart I tell you. I think the sweetest thing in the world is a little hand outstretched full of flowers.
In other news, chaos is still reigning over here while we try to finish up the showroom. It is taking forever. And ever. The kids are pretty much little orphans running around with bed heads all day, mismatched clothes/pajamas and huge red koolaid stained mouths. I think they are really enjoying having distracted parents... Seriously, what's not to enjoy. Rubber boots and wedgie-inducing pajamas are the best.
