project: gift tags

I hope you are not like me. I hope you don't have a rather large pile of very cute paper that you are intending to use for your scrapbook one of these days (after your laundry is completely caught up. caught up, meaning: washed, folded and put away. It's that last step that kills me every time.) But, just in case you are, here's an idea for using it up, before all those cute patterns and colors are no longer current. Get out your paper cutter and cut those papers into 4" by 2" strips. Fold them in half to make a two inch square tag. Punch a little hole in the middle and loop a string through. Voila, irresistable little gift tags. Make a bunch and have them on hand, because seriously who buys birthday cards anymore. Four bucks. For a card. Ridiculous. If you really want some, but you don't have any cute paper on hand or have an aversion to paper cutters (completely understandable. no one wants a missing thumb pad), they are available in my etsy shop. I had so much fun making these. I KNOW. I should have been a kindergarten teacher.
