a little jaunt to michigan.

ashley & eric just moved to michigan about a month ago, where eric is starting his residency and working all sorts of crazy hours.  having moved twice in the middle of pregnancies, all i could think about was ashley trying to unpack and organize a house while being 8 months pregnant while taking care of her other two littles--no bueno.  

so i thought it would be good timing to take a little trip to visit.  i was really wishing a little wishful wish that the little babe would arrive while i was there, but alas, she is still snug in her mamas belly.  

but even though the baby didn't arrive while i was there, it was so fun to spend five days straight with my sister!  we went to the most beautiful sandy beach lakes, to the cutest petting zoo i've ever seen, for lots of walks, watched and cried through a movie that shall remain unnamed, doughnut picnics in the park, trips to ikea and fixed up her new house.  

i love that girl and her cute little family so much.  michigan is so green and beautiful and the weather felt so good, especially after all the insanely hot temperatures we've been having here this summer.   

i've been feeling a little melancholy the last couple days without her funny antics (walking out to her priming the living room in her swimsuit. . . just one small example that will forever bring a smile to my face!!) and all her awesome wisdom, and i can't wait until i can visit her again!
