a few favorites.

Three wonderful things about the weekend:

1. My sister ashley is in town and I LOVE her!!  I haven't seen her for a year and it has nearly killed me.  Oh it's been way too long.  All five of us sisters were together last week, which is like a once-every-couple-years occurrence it seems.  It was wonderful, and we took lots of pictures in true schmidt girl fashion!

2.  Jimmy and I made all our last changes on the house plans and handed them over to the architect to have them engineered.  Crossing our fingers that that part will go MUCH faster...

3.  Salted caramel gelato at Vinto.  enough said.

Other than that, I have been lazy about updating my blog with personal things.  It just seems so time consuming to get that camera cord out and hook it up to the computer, upload all the pics to flickr and then get them back to my blog.  It's pure laziness I tell you.

So much easier to just show you some of my favorite pretty things from restoration hardware's baby & child.  There are lots more things I love too that are a little less frilly, that I've been pinning on the inspiration boards for the boys rooms.  I was just really pleasantly surprised by all the cute stuff in their look books.

Remember that perfect book of nursery rhymes (that belonged to my grandmother).  For Ava Carmel's next room, I will choose some to have copied and framed.  But instead of the smaller frames above, I'll hang them in these bigger frames with a mat.
