Jimmy and I returned from our little weekend getaway with a surprise for the kids! She is so adorable, but I confess I have already had a mini "what have I got myself into" panic attack. But watching the kids fall in love with little Izzie is pretty priceless:

Cam (an overheard conversation between him & Ashlyn): I am so lucky I have a puppy--we have seven mammals in our family now.

and

Andy (praying): Please bless our puppy to love us forever. Please bless our puppy to not eat sticks or ever bite us. Please bless us to love our puppy always. Please bless our puppy to eat her food and not get sick. (And so on for a solid two minutes. . . )

Ava: ohhhhh, my ballerina puppy. oh ballerina puppy come here. oh ballerina puppy i love you.
