setting up shop
I've been spending most of my week getting vendors lined up for the upcoming showcase. It makes me so excited. I know it may seem crazy because after all is said and done, my hourly wage probably tops out at 25 cents an hour. But is very fun and fulfilling to me nonetheless. The night before the showcase it's like Christmas eve and I can hardly sleep.
I think I feel like a little girl again playing shop keeper. . which is perfect because in this stage of life I don't want the day to day responsibility of an actual shop. Plus it wouldn't be nearly as fun to be all by myself running a shop. It's much more fun to hang out with my sisters and mom and run our shop together, not to metion those extremely important piper and chloe "meetings" we HAVE to have every week.
So anyway here are some of my old and new favorites for this years show:
from md sparks. i just spent ten minutes trying to pick my favorite thing in her etsy shop. so many cute things.
from simple and sweet. this party hat is perfect. I really really really want one to wear on my birthday. She has an etsy store filled with vintage children's clothing and some handmade items. I am in love with the flowers along the bottom. I think i fell in love with it because I had been working on these a few weeks ago:
I was inspired by an vintage cream flower napkin ring that belonged to Jim's grandma. I was going to line my little chandelier shades in the kitchen with these ones I made, but after an hour of making them and only lining one shade, I got project A.D.D. What. You are surprised by that!? I did put one on a hair clip though, and pinned it to ava's green crocheted hat and it was pretty darn cute. if i do say so myself.
