The Things I'll do for Sleep

In my ongoing quest for that illusive "sleeping through the entire night" night, I came up with an idea. . . perhaps Ava's recent sleeplessness could be attributed to a little chilliness. After all, I have to pull up my duvet every night around three o'clock. So, I thought, perhaps little Ava could benefit from a little duvet of her own.

Several weeks ago it started snowing furiously (gee, which week was that? Oh, I don't know. . . one of the last THIRTY) and we were all tucked in for the day. I suddenly was seized with a desire to get this pint-sized duvet cover done TODAY. I felt like the picture of domestic bliss, sewing away with little Ava snuggled into my lap for two-minute increments. And I actually COMPLETED the project (not the same day, but within a couple--which is something that makes me smile even as I am typing this.)

Ava was so happy with her snuggly soft duvet. . .which I wish I could say solved the sleeplessness problem. Urgh.
