a whimsical dollhouse.

So have any of you seen this adorable converted bookshelf from the land of nod blog, honest to nod?  You have no idea how much I would have loved to spend a week of summer afternoons emptying my bookshelves, and transforming them into a colorful dollhouse.

What am I talking about?  I would still love to spend a week of summer afternoons doing this...  (And the train track path and block staircase?  Adorable.)

And since summer is a houseful of birthdays around here, I have got birthday planning swirling around my head.   Perhaps a dollhouse birthday party this summer?   We could make a sweet little dollhouse invitation (maybe the front doors & windows open with all the birthday information) and then this could be a perfect party activity.

With a nice stash of yarn, cardboard, glue, pretty paper and washi tape, two girls could each decorate a "room."  I'll have to see if Ava Carmel is interested...  Currently she is pretty set on a bumblebee birthday party.  I may have to save this one for my birthday party.
