Can you believe it's the first day of Spring?!  How about a little project to celebrate?

Remember these little bird nest party favors we made a couple years ago for Ashlyn's birdie party?  I'm thinking they just may be the perfect place markers for our Easter Brunch.

Interested in making a few yourself?  Just follow these simple directions... :)

first.
Weigh your peat pot down with something heavy (I used some of those polished river rocks.  One per pot did the trick.)


second.
Add the "nest", by bunching a little dried spanish moss inside the pot.


third.
Add the bird eggs (I recommend gourmet M&M's--they have that speckled bird egg look.  And they are pretty yummy too!)


fourth.
Print your guest's names in a delightful font of some sort, and punch out with a circle punch.


fifth.
Tape name to a toothpick and insert into moss.

So in other news, I ran today!  I loved it, but I think I need to get an ear warmer headband for my abnormally sensitive ears.  They were frozen!  (Even though it was in the 40's.)
