brunch anyone?
There are two kind of parties I really love to throw. First, and I know I've already mentioned this a bijillion times, so why not once more. . . Children's birthday parties and second, late-morning brunches.
For the last few years, we have had a Christmas brunch at our home, and I love it. And this year I took a few pictures, as half of our breakfast was burning in the oven. (I didn't know it was burning. Or I would have put the camera down. Really. I would have.)
It probably would have been a good idea to use the ovens at least once before cooking for a crowd. (That is my TIP #1.)
On the plus side, now Jimmy and I can rest easy knowing the smoke alarms in this house are in fine functioning order (and Elle does whip up some fabulous belgium waffles when you're in a pinch.)
Anyway, over the next couple of days I thought I would share a few simple and inexpensive ideas for setting a pretty table for your next soiree. Doesn't a New Years Day Brunch sound delightful?!
