I just have to say . . .
I am the luckiest girl. For many reasons. But the one most on my mind this weekend is: I've got the funnest (and funniest), most amazing friends--and what do you know? They're my sisters! During those years at home, there were serious doubts such a thing could ever occur, but crazy things happen when you grow up.So, here's some pictures from my sisters' fun shower on Saturday. It's amazing how quickly a pregnancy can fly by when it is not YOU who is pregnant. They are due a week apart. . . SEE, I told you, crazy things happen when you grow up. (Sorry, not many pictures of people because my battery died right after the shower started.)
I forced my magnolia branches again, and this time they got TONS of blooms. We had guests leave a bit of parenting advice on tags tied onto the branches. The tags were small and my advice was a bit lengthy, but I know a lot. (I was totally smiling when I wrote that.)
The decorations were newborn size diapers tied up in string (now singing "these are a few of my favorite things.") And newborn size onesies tied up with little strings (of fabric--I cut thin slivers of some of my favorite fabrics.) And rubber duckies. And pink and green m&m's. All in glass jars. The food was so yummy, especially this.
inspiration for centerpieces came from rebecca thuss. Just so you know, I love every . . . single . . . picture on this site. You might be there for a good little while. I put these at the end, so mine wouldn't look so homemade next to them :)

Tiff, you're a girl after my own heart, my heart is just in the "we're still in school" category. I love all of your ideas and how it always comes together. I wish I could have been there to party with the two pregos and congratulate them in person. Give them hugs for me!
