Shot to the Heart
Sometimes it's hard to keep a straight face as a mom. Take, for example, this little exchange that took place today after school. Cam came in, dropped his backpack on the floor and started rubbing his shoulder with a forlorn look on his face.Cam: "My shoulder hurts SO BAD . . . cuz that's where Cupid shot an arrow at me."
Me: "Really? Wow. When did that happen?"
Cam: "Today in P.E. when I was dancing with Abigail . . . yeah (sigh) . . . that's why I really like Abigail now, cuz Cupid shot me RIGHT in the shoulder." (said in this resigned sort of voice)
Me: "Hmmm . . . well, what do you like about Abigail?"
Cam: "Her hands. (little smile) They feel like Ava's hands after she's been in the bath for a long time."
Sweet, water-logged little prune hands? Who knew. After A LOT of deliberation he showed me the valentine lollipop he chose especially for Abigail. "Kiss Me" was the one he chose. . .
Am I in trouble? Because I was under the impression that this was supposed to be the girls-have-cooties stage. Now I'm thinking maybe we may have just skipped right over that one.
However, if you're looking for a way to get straight into your valentine's heart, try soaking your hands for a good thirty minutes or so. That should do the trick.
this is so hilarious, mom told me this morning I was laughing so hard..Yep that sounds like something cam would say. Cute boy.
